Royal Cardamom & Clove Milk (Elaichi-Laung Doodh)
A calming, immunity-boosting Ayurvedic drink made with whole spices.
🌿 Ingredients:
- 2 cups full-fat milk
- 2 pods of Green Cardamom (Elaichi)
- 2 Whole Cloves (Laung)
- 1 tbsp jaggery or honey
- ½ tsp grated nutmeg (optional)
- A few saffron strands (optional)
🥄 Instructions:
- Warm milk gently in a saucepan over low heat.
- Lightly crush the cardamom and cloves using a mortar and pestle.
- Add spices to milk and simmer for 7–10 minutes.
- Turn off heat, cover, and let steep for 2 more minutes.
- Strain, stir in sweetener, and garnish with saffron.
- Serve warm, preferably at bedtime.

Gently toast cardamom and clove in a drop of ghee before simmering to unlock their full aroma.
